5th Young ASEAN Insurance Manager Award

The ASEAN Insurance Council (AIC) realising the importance of encouraging young managers to persevere for the best in the insurance economies in ASEAN, re-introduced the Young ASEAN Managers Award (YAMA) in year 2009 where the ASEAN Young Manager was chosen on a region wide basis compared to the past where national associations made their own award which was then endorsed by the Council.

This award (YAMA) reinforces the ASEAN Insurance Council's initiative to encourage more young managers within the industry to actively contribute and excel in their field of work. This will lead to the development of a skilled pool of human capital within the ASEAN insurance industry.

The young managers are the future leaders for the insurance industry and there is a need to encourage more young managers to establish their talent and leadership qualities.
